High-performance polymer materials and polymer materials for extreme environments are in urgent demand for applications in aerospace, electronics, and deep-earth exploration. Sichuan University has a long-standing tradition of research on heat-resistant high-performance polymer materials. Significant foundations have been established in several critical areas, including the design and preparation of monomer molecular structures, macromolecular sequence structures, new principles and technologies for processing difficult-to-process polymers, methodologies for controlled cross-linking reactions, the construction and reconstruction of multiple networks, and the development of high-performance composites serving as both a structural and a functional material.
